Privacy Policy

The Michigan Woodworkers’ Guild (“Guild”) is a social organization for individuals and families interested in working with wood and related materials. The Guild collects member (“Member” or “You”) personal information used in the membership application, fee processing, controlling access to certain website sections, and for communicating with its membership.

The Guild has a website that offers a variety of features, such as, a forum for members to communicate with each other. Certain Member information is needed to verify that the party sharing information on the Guild’s website is a Member in good standing.

Section 1. The name of this organization is Michigan Woodworkers’ Guild (Guild)
ARTICLE II-PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES
Section 1. The purposes and objectives of the Guild are to:
A. Encourage and promote excellence in design and craftsmanship in wood.
B.Educate the membership and the community about the profession and hobby of woodworking.

For Providing Information

The Michigan Woodworkers Guild (“Guild”) maintains a website for the benefit of its members. Certain sections of the website facilitate the sharing of information and content among its members. Most areas of the website can also be viewed by non-members.

All parties (”You”) who provide information into any section or subsection of this website have read and agree to these terms and conditions. You agree that You will not use the Guild’s website to share any information which is knowingly false, inaccurate, defamatory, derogatory, degrading, offensive, invasive of a person’s privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law. The Guild is not responsible for any information You submit to the website and is not responsible for the content of such information. Information that You share is the view of the author of the information and is not necessarily the view of the Guild.

The Guild will review the complaint and remove any objectionable information within a reasonable time, if the Guild determines that removal is necessary.
